Prepare Your Hands
- Before you begin with this relaxing procedure of a spa manicure, your hands and nails have to be bathed to make the skin and cuticles soft.
- Therefore, in a nail bubble tub, warm water and fragrant liquid soaps are added, and your hands are submerged for about 5 minutes. Till this is done you can enjoy reading something or closing your eyes and relaxing.
Cleaning Your Hands
- After your hands and nails are treated with some great aromatic soap and warm water, your nails are cleaned and the earlier polish is removed.
- This step in homemade manicure instructions is very important, because since your hands are one of the most exposed parts of your body, there is tan, dirt, perspiration, and many other impurities which make the skin rough and weak.
Use Spa Scrubs
- In the next step, there is a scrumptious aroma salt scrub massage which is used to exfoliate and remove the dead skin. The scrubs used are usually herbal oily products because the exfoliated skin can absorb the moisturizing oils into it.
- The scrub is used on nails, cuticles, fingers and the back of the palms as well, so that it evenly affects the hands. After the scrub is removed, apply nail butter on nails and cuticles and keep for 5 more minutes for the same reason.
Hand Mask
- Once the nail butter is massaged on the nails and cuticles, the hand mask is applied with the help of a brush over the entire hand. The hands are wrapped in warm towels for about 15 minutes.
- In home manicure this is done to moisturize the skin and protect it from all the external elements like dirt and dust. The vitamin E in the mask, also nourishes the skin and gives it a glow. After th 15 minutes, the mask is removed by wiping, not washing.
Oiling the Hands
- After the mask is removed, the hands and nails are massaged with aroma massage oils, by first warming them and then pouring on your hands.
- This helps in relaxing the muscles of the skin and improves the blood flow in these areas. This is also done for about 15 minutes and then the excess oil is removed by warm towels.
Apply Hand Cream
- The last step includes applying hand cream, after the oils are removed. The cuticles are then tightened and the manicured nails are shaped.
- In most spa manicures, paraffin wax is used after the exfoliation process, because the wax allows the cream to seep into the skin and moisturize it. The polishing of the nails can also be done after the hand cream is applied.
With is informational procedure of a spa manicure, I am sure most of you are dying to get one of these done! Well, go ahead and turn those ordinary hands into shiny stylish manicured pieces of art.
